Questions families ask

Pick a class from the schedule and book a visit on our registration page, or call or text the studio. A coach will place your student at the door.

Levels are by skill, and classes are by age. A student who has never tumbled starts in Rolls and bridges in their own age group. A student who already does a cartwheel can start in Cartwheels or Handstands.

A fitted top with shorts or leggings, hair tied back, bare feet or grip socks. Jewelry stays at home.

For ages 5 to 7, a grown-up stays in the building and waits in the front hall. Older students may be dropped off, and the door opens ten minutes before class.

Yes. The bench in the front hall has a window onto the mat room, and week 6 of every session is a watch week.

Mats are what each skill is practiced on, laid out before class. Spotting is a coach standing beside a student and guiding the skill by hand. We spot a new skill until it is steady, and we say when the spot is changing.

A level is a skill, such as Cartwheels or Walkovers. A student moves up when the skill is steady and the coach no longer needs to spot it. There is no test and no calendar.

A costume for the spring showcase, a production charge for the showcase, tickets for guests and practice clothes. Ask us what each is for.

We ask your written permission before we share any photo of your child, on this site, in newsletters or on social media, and you can change your answer at any time. We never put a child's name with a photo, and the photos on this site are examples until we replace them with our own.

Text or call the studio. A missed class can be made up in another class of the same level, or the level just below it, within the same session.
